KBC CVL Buffer

The KBC Chronic Villus Lysis Buffer (CVL) is designed for lysing chorionic villus samples for direct use in various PCR applications, such as Multiplex PCR and STR-based kits, without the need for extraction or purification processes, resulting in time and cost savings. Its use is straightforward and requires no additional time or energy. Furthermore, the results obtained from working with these buffers are comparable to DNA extraction kits.

The method of using this buffer is simple: the chorionic villus sample is cut with a blade and then mixed with the CVL buffer. The lysing process is then carried out with vortexing and spinning. The resulting solution can be directly added to a PCR reaction. Additionally, the lysed sample can be stored at 4 and 20 degrees Celsius for longer periods, although the use of fresh samples is recommended for better results.

In comparison to extraction kits, the use of Chronic Villus Lysis Buffer (CVL) incurs much lower costs and requires fewer resources in a molecular laboratory.
