Description

Genetic analyzers such as the 3130, 3130xl, 3500, and 3500xL models from Applied Biosystems require precise Spectral Calibration to evaluate profiles generated with multiple fluorescent channels accurately.

When Spectral Calibration is performed using KBC MC5™ Matrix Calibration, the overlapping wavelengths of the colors are determined, ensuring unique color signal identification during subsequent readings. Without Spectral Calibration, colors may overlap, causing shadowing effects (Pull-up), which significantly complicates result analysis.

KBC MC5™ v2 Matrix Calibration is a tube containing 5 DNA fragments, each labeled with a specific fluorescent color. This matrix includes the colors KBC460B, KBC420G, KBC380Y, KBC340R, and KBC260O. This product is used for calibrating genetic analyzers such as the 3130, 3130xl, 3500, and Applied Biosystems 3500xL models.
